I have received, as part of my training in Norway, practical training in fish stock assessment using trawl survey and hydroacoustic survey using SIMARD EK 500 echosounder. The training was conducted onboard the R/V the Håkon Mosby and the R/V Hans Bratstrom in the Norwegian Sea, with scientists from the Marine Research Institute and the Department of Fisheries and Marine Biology of the University of Bergen.
